Female immigrants in health care hard-hit by COVID-19 pandemic
A new report found female immigrants, many of whom worked as caregivers, were especially hard-hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s prompting calls for policies instituting higher pay, paid sick leave as well as universal childcare and eldercare and affordable housing to better protect the workers.
